3.

Remove existing fuel vapor hose and fuel vapor purge valve. Discard hose and valve.

4.

Install new fuel vapor hose and new fuel vapor purge valve.

EEC-IV Microprocessor Assembly 
Removal and Installation

1.

Record radio stations for reprogramming upon completion of procedure.

2.

Disconnect battery cable.

3.

Disconnect 60-pin connector to microprocessor at dash panel.

4.

From inside passenger compartment, open glove compartment door and release tabs to allow door to fully open.

5.

Loosen bracket retaining microprocessor and slide microprocessor rearward and remove.

6.

Install new microprocessor and tighten retaining bracket. Close glove compartment door.

7.

Connect 60-pin connector to microprocessor.

8.

Connect battery cable.

9.

Reprogram radio stations.

10.

Drive vehicle for minimum of five miles to have processor develop adaptive strategy. Inform customer about microprocessor adaptive strategy and
that vehicle may not operate at optimum performance levels during the first few miles driven.

VEHICLE EMISSION CONTROL INFORMATION (VECI) DECAL

1.

Remove existing VECI decal, clean decal mounting surface.

2.

Install new VECI decal.
