ISSUE:
A noise heard in the passenger compartment may be caused by the electric fuel pump inside the fuel tank. This is caused by lack of a pulse
damper in the fuel pump/sender assembly.

ACTION:
Install a new design fuel pump/sender assembly with an integral pulse damper. Refer to the fuel pump/sender assembly application chart in
Figure 1 for the correct service part. Use the following procedure for removal and installation details.
1.
Make sure the noise is coming from the fuel pump.
2.
Drain the fuel from the tank.
