ISSUE:
A revised Turbine Shaft Seal has been released. The new seal has a tin and nickel coating to minimize wear in the aluminum chain cover bore. The
previous seal ring had a phosphate coating that may wear a groove in the bore of the chain cover.

ACTION:
When service is required, install the revised Turbine Shaft Seal Ring in the transaxle. Refer to the applicable model year Car Service Manual and the
following procedure for service details.

NOTE:
CHAIN COVERS WITH A SLIGHT POLISHING ARE COMPLETELY FUNCTIONAL AND SHOULD NOT BE REPLACED.

The old phosphate seal is black. The new tin and nickel coated seal ring is silver colored.
