FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT READ FULL AFTER FILLING TANK

2002-2005 Taurus

MERCURY:
2002-2005 Sable

ISSUE

Some 2002-2005 Taurus/Sable vehicles may exhibit a fuel gauge which indicates the tank is only 7/8 full after filling the fuel tank. This may be due to
the calibration of the fuel level indication unit.

ACTION

To service, remove the fuel delivery module and replace the fuel level indication unit. DO NOT REPLACE THE ENTIRE FUEL DELIVERY
MODULE FOR THIS CONDITION.
