4. Separate the passenger air bag module and trim cover from the instrument panel (I/P). 

1. Pull the left hand corner of the trim cover away from the I/P.
2. From left to right, slide a finger across the seam between the trim cover and I/P, releasing the trim cover retaining clips.
3. Pull the passenger air bag module and trim cover away from the I/P, but do not remove it.

5. Remove the passenger air bag module and trim cover. 

1. Disconnect the passenger air bag module electrical connector.
2. Remove the wire harness pin-type retainer from the passenger air bag module.
3. Remove the passenger air bag module.

Installation

1. Make sure there are no foreign objects in the passenger air bag module alignment channels.
