Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair
Four Door

REMOVAL

1. Remove the parcel shelf.

2. Remove the outboard child safety seat belt tether anchor.

Remove the bolt.

Remove the outboard child safety seat tether strap anchor.

NOTE:  The passenger side is shown, the driver side is similar.

3. Remove the inboard child safety seat belt tether anchor.

Remove the bolt.

2

Remove the inboard child safety seat tether strap anchor.

INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Refer to the removal procedure or Specifications for torque specifications.

WARNING:  IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE BOLT/ANCHOR BE SECURELY TIGHTENED TO SPECIFICATION. OTHERWISE,
THE CHILD'S SAFETY SEAT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY SECURED, AND THE CHILD CAN BE INJURED IN CASE OF A
SUDDEN STOP OR ACCIDENT.

NOTE:

Rework the sheet metal to its original condition and structural integrity.

Make sure to tighten the bolts to specification.

2. Check the restraint system for correct operation.
