MACH AM/FM stereo cassette tape player with optional digital audio compact disc player control and EATC

All audio Systems utilize a two-chassis design (distributed radio system) and have the following features:

Rear chassis unit mounted in the LH rear quarter panel.

Rear chassis unit incorporating radio tuner and amplifier.

-

Integrated control panel and the rear chassis unit communication via a Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J1708-based Audio Control
Protocol. Audio Control Protocol is also used to control the digital audio compact disc player and handle commands from the mobile telephone.

Analog audio signal inputs to the rear chassis unit. The analog signal from the cassette tape player are two channels (left and right) of differential
signal, with twisted and shielded wiring. Inputs for mobile telephone and digital audio compact disc player functions (if equipped) also use twisted
and shielded wiring.

Base 

The base audio system consists of:

AM/FM stereo radio.

24 watt midline rear chassis unit.

four radio speakers.

whip antenna.

The midline audio system adds:

full logic cassette tape player.

two additional radio speakers.

optional digital audio compact disc player.

The MACH audio system consists of:

six premium radio speakers.
