If dash insulator retainer is in place, lightly pull on retainer to ensure it is securely in place on accelerator cable housing. See Figure 2.

If dash insulator retainer is securely in place, no service action is needed. Return vehicle to customer.

If dash insulator retainer is missing or is not securely in place on accelerator cable housing, proceed to SERVICE PROCEDURE.
