Remove the front seat safety belt upper anchor bolt(s). See Figure 9.

Remove the coat hook(s). See Figure 9.

Remove the upper quarter trim panel(s). See Figure 9.
10.
Remove the lower quarter trim panel(s). See Figure 9.

If front passenger-side safety belt retractor replacement is required, proceed as follows:

Remove the safety belt lower anchor bolt. See Figure 10.

Remove the safety bolt retractor retaining bolt, then removed the safety belt retractor. See Figure 10.

Install the new safety belt retractor. Tighten the retaining bolt to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

Install the safety belt lower anchor bolt. Tighten the anchor bolt to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
