Solar Sensor: Description and Operation
The A/C sunload sensor :

is located in the RH upper instrument panel outer finish panel.

contains a photovoltaic (sensitive to sunlight) diode.

has some unspecified resistance across the terminals depending upon the amount of light reaching the photovoltaic diode, therefore the only test
that can be performed is for an internal short circuit.
