Remove the fluid filter and seal assembly with a twisting motion. See Figure 1.

If the seal remains on the fluid filter, proceed to step 7.

If the seal remains in the transaxle case bore, perform steps 5 and 6.
CAUTION:
Do not use a screwdriver or any other tool that could damage the seal or the transaxle case bore.
