If continuity exists, replace controller. If no continuity exists, service 197 circuit.

With engine running, engage A/C clutch. If clutch engages, proceed to step 7. If clutch does not engage, check fuse. If satisfactory, proceed to step
9.

 Inspect wide open throttle switch to determine position. If switch is open, replace or adjust as necessary. If switch is closed, proceed to step 8.

Disconnect cooling fan controller connector, then check for voltage at 354 circuit. If no voltage exists, service 354 circuit as necessary. If voltage
exists, replace cooling fan controller.

9.

Disconnect cooling fan controller connector, then turn ignition and A/C ``On.'' Check for voltage at 198 circuit. If voltage exists, replace cooling
fan controller. If voltage does not exist, proceed to step 10.

10.

Disconnect A/C clutch cycling pressure switch, then using a suitable jumper wire, jump across connector. Check again for voltage at 198 circuit. If
voltage exists, proceed to step 11. If voltage does not exist, proceed to step 12.

11.

Check A/C system for sufficient charge. If charge is sufficient, replace clutch cycling pressure switch.

Disconnect A/C control assembly connector, then jump 296 circuit to 321 circuit and check for voltage at 198 and 348 circuits at cooling fan
controller connector. If voltage exists at both circuits, replace function selector switch. If voltage exists at 198 circuit only, service 348 circuit.

13.

Disconnect fan motor electrical connector, then connect a jumper wire from motor ground connection to a known good ground and a jumper wire
from battery positive to motor B+ connection. If fan motor does not run, replace motor. If fan motor runs, proceed to step 14.

14.

Remove jumper wire, then reconnect fan motor connector. Disconnect fan motor controller connector. With ignition ``On,'' check for voltage at
controller connector 37 and 354 circuits. If voltage exists at both circuits, proceed to step 15. If no voltage exists at one or both circuits, service
circuit(s).

15.

Using a jumper wire, jump circuit 37 to 228 circuit at cooling fan controller connector. If fan motor runs, replace cooling fan controller. If fan
motor does not run, service motor ground.
