Locate the 5/32 (black with red stripe) vacuum hose to the vacuum reservoir. This hose is routed along the right hand fender apron between the
shock tower and the radiator overflow bottle (Figure 16).

Cut the hose and install (2) connectors (383003-S) and (2) caps (382444-S) at each end (Figure 16).

Secure both cut ends of vacuum hose to ensure access for possible future service requirements.

Perform a 3-mile drive (from a stop, accelerate to 55 mph with light, medium and heavy acceleration) to verify the above concern has been
alleviated.
7.
If drive concern still persists, replace carburetor. Do not reconnect vacuum hose.
