Remove and discard governor spring (pink) and replace with service spring (brown) into either one of the governor spring positions as shown in
Figure 5.

NOTE:

Position one end of the governor spring onto the spring seat of the primary weight. Compress the spring and position the other end of the
spring onto the spring seat of the secondary weight.

3.

Install the modified governor assembly into the transaxle using the procedures referenced on Section 17-25, page 122.
