Shift Linkage: Service and Repair
Internal Shift Linkage and Shaft
4 Speed Manual Transaxle (MTX)
Removing 3rd & 4th Shift Fork
1. Rotate 3rd and 4th shift fork until notch in fork is positioned over interlock sleeve.
2. Rotate 1st and 2nd shift fork until notch in fork is positioned over selector arm finger. Slide 3rd and 4th fork and interlock sleeve off shaft.
Removing 1st & 2nd Shift Fork
3. Remove selector arm retaining pin, then the selector arm and 1st and 2nd shift fork from shaft.
4. Reverse procedure to install and note the following:
