Loosen the PARK/NEUTRAL position switch retaining bolts.
a.
With the manual valve in NEUTRAL position, insert a No. 43 bit drill (0.089") through the PARK/NEUTRAL position switch.
b.
Push the drill bit through the switch until it seats against the case, Figure 9.
c.
Tighten the switch retaining bolts to 9-12 N-m (7-9 lb.ft.) and remove the drill bit.

Connect one end of the throttle valve control spring to exposed hole in separator plate of valve body. Connect the other end of the spring to spring
anchor on throttle lever cam assembly, Figure 10.
CAUTION:
USE CARE NOT TO DROP THE SPRING DOWN INTO THE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY. THIS CAN BE PREVENTED BY COVERING THE
AREA AROUND THE MANUAL DETENT LEVER, OR BY TEMPORARILY ATTACHING A LARGE PART TAG TO THE SPRING SO
THAT IT CANNOT FALL INTO THE CASE.
