Fabricate two (2) templates out of a rigid material as shown in Figures 3 and 4.

3.

Position the templates under the mounting tabs.

4.

Bend the mounting tabs on the dash panel as required to match the shape of the templates.

5.

Install a new instrument panel pad in the vehicle. Refer to the 1987 Car Shop Manual, Volume C, Section 45-61 for the installation procedure.
