Air Filter Element: Testing and Inspection
CAUTION:Cleaning the Air Cleaner Element (ACL element)(9601) or crankshaft ventilation filter element is not recommended.
^ Hold the air cleaner element in front of a light and carefully inspect it for any splits or cracks. If the air cleaner element is split or cracked, replace
it.
NOTES:

The air cleaner element should be replaced at the specified mileage intervals.

All engines (6007) are equipped with dry-type engine air cleaners with replaceable air cleaner elements (960 1).
