Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Description and Operation

Evaporative Emissions Canister

PURPOSE 

The fuel vapors from the fuel tank are stored in the evaporative emissions canister.

OPERATION 

When the vehicle is being operated, the fuel vapors are purged from the evaporative emissions canister into the engine for consumption by means
of the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid.
