Throttle Cable/Linkage: Adjustments
Accelerator Cable Deflection
Accelerator Cable Bracket
1.
Measure the accelerator cable (9A758) deflection at the deflection checking point (midway between the accelerator cable bracket (9723) and the
throttle control lever). The deflection should be 0.04-0.12 inch (1-3mm).
2.
If necessary, loosen the locknuts on the accelerator cable bracket and adjust the cable deflection until it is within specification.
3.
After the proper deflection is achieved, tighten the accelerator cable bracket locknuts
NOTES:
^
If unable to set accelerator cable (9A758) deflection, then Accelerator Pedal Limiter needs to be adjusted refer to Adjustments/Accelerator
Pedal Limiter. See: Accelerator Pedal Limiter
^
The accelerator cable connects to the lower half of the throttle control lever.
