Arming and Disarming

DISARMING

1. Disconnect battery negative, then positive cable. Allow at least one minute for back-up power supply to deplete.
2. Remove bolts retaining air bag module to steering wheel, then disconnect air bag connector.
3. Connect Rotunda Air Bag Simulator 105-00010, or equivalent, to vehicle air bag wiring harness at top of steering column.
4. Remove passenger's air bag module as follows:

a. Remove two glove compartment to instrument panel hinge attaching screws, then the glove compartment.
b. Remove two passenger's air bag module attaching bolts.
c. Lift passenger's air bag module from instrument panel, then disconnect electrical connector.

5. Connect a second 105-00010, or equivalent, to wiring harness in place of passenger's air bag module.
6. Connect battery cables.

ARMING

1. Disconnect battery negative, then positive cable. Allow one minute for back-up power supply to deplete.
2. Remove air bag simulator from harness on top of steering column.
3. Connect driver's air bag connector.
4. Position driver's air bag on steering wheel and secure with two bolts.
5. Remove air bag simulator from passenger's air bag harness connector.
6. Install passenger's air bag module as follows:

a. Press air bag module mounting tabs in instrument panel down slightly, then connect module electrical connector and position module in

instrument panel.

b. Install two air bag module bolts.
c. Install glove compartment in instrument panel.

7. Connect battery cables.
8. Place ignition switch in RUN position and note air bag warning lamp operation. Indicator lamp should illuminate for approximately six seconds,

then turn OFF.
