Front Shock/Strut Assembly

WARNING: ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES WHEN USING A SPRING COMPRESSOR.

4. Install an appropriate spring compressor onto the shock/strut spring.

5. Compress the spring.

6. Remove the nut, mounting block, thrust bearing, upper spring seat, rubber spring seat, coil spring and bound stopper.

1. Position the bound stopper onto the shock/strut piston rod.

2. With the coil spring compressed, position the spring onto the shock/strut assembly.

3. Install the rubber spring seat, upper spring seat, thrust bearing, mounting block and piston rod nut. Tighten the piston rod nut to 79-110 N.m

(58-81 lb-ft).

4. With the nut tightened to the specification, carefully remove the spring compressor from the spring while making sure the spring is properly

seated in the upper and lower spring seats.
