Position the door weathershield away from the door latch assembly.

Disconnect the outside door handle rod from the door handle (Figure 1).
7.
Disconnect the door latch control rod from the latch assembly (Figure 1).
8.
Disconnect the door latch control cylinder rod from the lock cylinder (Figure 1).
9.
If equipped with power door locks, disconnect the actuator rod (Figure 1).
10.
Disconnect the door latch switch electrical connector.
11.
Remove the inside door handle from the remote rod (Figure 1).
12. Remove the door latch assembly.
