Brake Pedal Assy: Adjustments
Brake Pedal Free Play
1.
If equipped with power brakes, depress pedal a few times in order eliminate the vacuum in the power booster.
2.
Depress brake pedal by hand, then check brake free play (until the valve plunger contacts the stopper plate, then resistance is felt). Free play
should be .16-.28 inch.
3.
If adjustment is required, loosen clevis locknut on brake pedal pushrod.
4.
Turn clevis to obtain .16-.28 inch free play.
5.
After adjustment, tighten clevis locknut.
