Wheel Bearing: Adjustments
Wheel Bearings Adjust

1.

Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheel, brake caliper and rotor.

2.

Position a dial indicator to wheel hub, then push and pull wheel hub by hand and measure wheel bearing play.

3.

If wheel bearing play exceeds 0.002 inch, check and adjust locknut torque or, if necessary, replace wheel bearing.

4.

Install brake rotor, caliper and wheel, then lower vehicle.
