Fuel Injector: Service and Repair
Fuel Injector Harness

Fuel Injection Wiring Harness

REMOVAL:

1.

Disconnect the two fuel injector harness connectors from the EEC-IV harness at the right-hand shock tower.

2.

Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor electrical connector.

3.

Disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors.

4.

Disconnect the air bypass valve electrical connector.  Remove the tie-wrap and connector from the valve assembly.

5.

Disconnect the throttle position sensor electrical connector.

6.

Disconnect the camshaft position sensor electrical connector.

7.

Unclip the fuel injector harness from the fuel supply manifold.

8.

Remove the fuel injector harness by carefully pulling it through the intake manifold toward the right-hand shock tower.

INSTALLATION:

1.

Position the fuel injector on the fuel supply manifold.  Clip the harness in place.

2.

Connect the fuel injector electrical connectors.

3.

Connect the camshaft position sensor electrical connector.

4.

Connect the throttle position sensor electrical connector.

5.

Connect the air bypass valve electrical connector and slip the tie-wrap cover the valve assembly.

6.

Connect the crankshaft position sensor electrical connector.

7.

Connect the two fuel injector harness connectors to the EEC-IV harness at the right hand shock tower.  Be sure all electrical connector are
connected securely.
