NOTE:

THIS TSB ONLY APPLIES TO THE VEHICLES WHICH HAVE HAD OWNER NOTIFICATION PROGRAM (ONP) 94B55 PERFORMED.

ISSUE:
On some vehicles, the fuel gauge may read full at all times and/or the vehicle may stall or not start. This may be caused by a short in the fuel pump
sender circuit, resulting in a blown fuse in the jumper harness located under the rear seat. If the vehicle has not had ONP 94B55 performed, the jumper
harness located under the rear seat will not be present. In that case, this TSB will not apply to that vehicle. Do not perform this TSB unless the ONP has
been performed.

ACTION:
Replace the fuel pump with a new pump which has a ground eyelet that will be attached to an access panel screw. Replace the fuse. Refer to the
following for service details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Inspect the fuel pump harness for open fuses. Check the fuel pump harness and flange for signs of shorts.

2.

Replace the fuel pump with the new design pump (F5CZ-9350-B) and secure the ground wire from the eyelet of the pump to an access panel cover
screw. Refer to the appropriate Service Manual for removal and installation procedures.

3.

Replace any open fuses and reconnect the jumper harness to the fuel pump.

4.

Check for proper resistance at the sending unit.
