Keyless Entry Transmitter: Description and Operation
Each of the three buttons on the keyless entry remote transmitter emits a radio frequency referred to as the Transmitter Identification Code (TIC).
The three TICs are programmed into the timer module which activates the electronic door lock control system.
The keyless entry remote transmitter performs these functions:

Signals the timer module to unlock the driver door. If the UNLOCK button is depressed again within five seconds, all doors will unlock.

Signals the timer module to lock all the doors. This also arms the anti-theft warning system, if equipped.

The electronic door lock control system confirms that the doors are locked and the anti-theft is activated by briefly sounding the horn and that the
lights flash twice.

Signals the timer module to activate the panic alarm. The horn will sound for two minutes and forty five seconds, unless the panic alarm is turned
off by pressing the keyless remote entry transmitter PANIC button a second time. The panic alarm can also be cancelled by turning the ignition
switch to the ON or START position.
