Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Testing and Inspection
1. Key OFF.
2. Disconnect the hydraulic anti-lock actuator assembly connector.
3. Use a jumper to connect Pin 9 of the hydraulic anti-lock actuator assembly to the battery positive terminal to verify hydraulic pump motor
operation.
CAUTION: Do not jump 12 volts to Pin 9 of the hydraulic anti-lock actuator assembly for more than five seconds.
4. Connect the Rotunda Breakout Box 014-00322 with Rotunda ABS Breakout Box Adapter 007-00055 or equivalent to the anti-lock brake control
module connector C119. Leave the anti-lock brake control module disconnected.
5. Measure the resistance between Breakout Box (BOB) Pin 6 and ground to make sure the resistance is less than 5 ohms.
6. Measure the resistance between the following BOB Pins to make sure resistance is 1.0 to 3.0 ohms:
^
Pin 6 and Pin 51.
^
Pin 6 and Pin 32.
^
Pin 6 and Pin 8.
7. If the hydraulic anti-lock actuator assembly fails any of the above checks, replace the hydraulic anti-lock actuator assembly. Otherwise, return to
the pinpoint tests. See: Testing and Inspection
