Brake Pedal Assy: Testing and Inspection
Brake Pedal Travel Check
1. With the engine running and the brake pedal depressed with a force of 490 N (110 lbs), measure the distance from the brake pedal pad to the
bulkhead. The brake pedal depressed height should be 115-130mm (4.53-5.12 inches).
2. If the brake pedal depressed height is not within specification, check for:

Air in the brake system.

Malfunction of the brake shoe self-adjuster.
^
Worn brake shoes and linings.
