Valve Stopper Bolt
2. Push down on the primary piston and unscrew the valve stopper bolt.
3. Push down on the primary piston and remove the snap ring.
4. Remove the primary and secondary pistons.
WARNING:DO NOT USE AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF AIR PRESSURE TO REMOVE THE SECONDARY PISTON. EXCESSIVE
PRESSURE CAN FORCE THE SECONDARY PISTON OUT OF THE MASTER CYLINDER BORE WITH ENOUGH
FORCE TO CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY. NEVER ATTEMPT TO CATCH THE SECONDARY PISTON BY HAND AS
IT COMES OUT ITS BORE.
NOTE: If the secondary piston does not come out, carefully apply a small amount of compressed air through a brake fluid outlet.
ASSEMBLY
1. Lubricate the brake master cylinder bore with clean Ford High Performance DOT 3 Brake Fluid C6AZ- 19542-AB or DOT-3 equivalent fluid
meeting Ford specification ESA-M6C25-A.
2. Install the secondary and primary pistons.
3. Align the slot in the secondary piston with the valve stopper hole.
4. Push down on the primary piston and install the snap ring.
5. Push down on the primary piston and install the valve stopper bolt.
6. Install the rubber bushings.
Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
1. Remove and plug the brake master cylinder connector tube and the brake master cylinder outlet rear tube from the brake master cylinder.
