Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Testing and Inspection
Electronic Instrument Cluster
1. Let engine cool.
2. Disconnect the water temperature indicator sender unit connector.
3. Measure the resistance between the terminal of the water temperature indicator sender unit and ground.
4. Start the engine.
5. Verify the resistances shown below as the engine warms up.

6. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the water temperature indicator sender unit. If the resistance is OK, return to the Pinpoint Tests. See:
