Idler Pulley: Service and Repair
Water Pump and Power Steering Pump
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the engine and transmission splash shield bolts and two engine and transmission splash shield screws.
3. Remove the RH front fender splash shield.
4. Loosen the water pump and power steering pump drive belt idler pulley locknut.
5. Loosen the water pump and power steering pump drive belt idler pulley adjustment bolt.
6. Remove the water pump and power steering pump drive belt idler pulley locknut.
7. Remove the water pump and power steering pump drive belt idler pulley assembly.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the water pump and power steering pump drive belt idler pulley locknut to 33-37 Nm (24-28 ft. lbs.).
