Camshaft Gear/Sprocket: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the timing belt.
3. Use Cam Sprocket Holding/Removing Tool T74P-6256-B to hold the camshaft sprocket while removing the camshaft sprocket retaining bolt.
4. Remove the camshaft sprocket.
INSTALLATION
1. Align the keyway and install the camshaft sprocket.
NOTE: The camshaft sprockets are marked with L3 to designate the front camshaft sprocket and R3 to designate the rear camshaft sprocket.
2. Use Cam Sprocket Holding/Removing Tool T74P-6256-B to hold the camshaft sprocket. Tighten the camshaft sprocket retaining bolt to 78-88
Nm (58-65 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the timing belt.
4. Fill the cooling system.
