NOTE:  Ensure the front exhaust manifold gasket surfaces are clean.

2. Install the lower three front exhaust manifold nuts. Do not tighten the lower front exhaust manifold nuts fully.
3. Install the LH inner engine and transmission splash shield. Tighten the LH engine and transmission splash shield bolts and screws.

4. Install the exhaust system flex tube bracket bolt. Tighten the exhaust system flex tube bracket bolt.
5. Install the three front exhaust manifold-to-exhaust inlet pipe nuts. Tighten the front exhaust manifold-to-exhaust inlet pipe nuts.
6. Connect the upstream HO2S electrical connector.
7. Lower the vehicle. 
8. Install the front exhaust manifold-to-mounting bracket bolt. Tighten the front exhaust manifold-to-mounting bracket bolt.

9. Install the upper three front exhaust manifold nuts. Tighten the six front exhaust manifold nuts in the sequence shown to 18-22 Nm (13-16 ft. lbs.).
10. Install the transmission fluid level indicator tube heat shield.
11. Install the two nuts and one bolt securing the front exhaust manifold to the rear exhaust manifold crossover tube. Tighten the front exhaust

manifold-to-rear exhaust manifold crossover tube nuts and bolt.

12. Connect the battery ground cable.
13. Start the engine and check for proper operation. Ensure there are no exhaust leaks.
