14. Remove the six rear exhaust manifold nuts in the sequence shown.
15. Lower the vehicle.
16. Remove the rear exhaust manifold. Discard the rear exhaust manifold gasket.

INSTALLATION

1. Raise and support the vehicle. 
2. Clean the rear exhaust manifold gasket surface.
3. Install a new rear exhaust manifold gasket.

NOTE:  Ensure that the rear exhaust manifold gasket surface is clean prior to installation. 

4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Position the rear exhaust manifold onto the studs.
6. Raise and support the vehicle. 

7. Install the six rear exhaust manifold nuts. Tighten the rear exhaust manifold nuts in the sequence shown to 18-22 Nm (13-16 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube arid install the two EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube nuts. Tighten the EGR valve to exhaust

manifold tube nuts.

9. Position the EGR valve-to-BPT valve tube nut into place. Tighten the EGR valve-to-BPT valve tube nut.
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Connect the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid electrical connector.
12. Connect the TP sensor electrical connectors.
13. Install the transmission fluid level indicator tube heat shield.
14. Install a new gasket between the front exhaust manifold and the rear exhaust manifold crossover tube.
15. Install the two nuts and one bolt securing the rear exhaust manifold crossover tube to the front exhaust manifold. Tighten the rear exhaust manifold

crossover tube-to-front exhaust manifold nuts and bolt.

16. Install the rear exhaust manifold crossover tube heat shield and the six rear exhaust manifold crossover tube heat shield bolts. Tighten the rear

exhaust manifold crossover tube bolts.

17. Install the engine air cleaner intake tube and engine intake air resonator. 
18. Install the radiator coolant recovery reservoir and connect the radiator overflow hose to the radiator.
19. Connect the battery ground cable.
20. Start the engine and check for proper operation.
