Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Description and Operation

The water temperature indicator sender unit is located in an engine coolant passage. The water temperature indicator sender unit measures the coolant
temperature of the engine. Its resistance decreases as engine temperature increases. The water temperature indicator sender unit sends a signal to the
electronic instrument cluster (EIC).
