ISSUE
On some vehicles a distinct rattle may be evident in the body side door area while driving. The noise may be due to movement of the body side door rear
latch from the primary latch position to the secondary latch position. This condition may be caused by a misadjusted body side door rear latch actuating
rod.
ACTION
Adjust the body side door rear latch actuating rod.
Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the body side door latch bezel and trim panel. Refer to Villager Workshop Manual Section 01-05.
2.
Peel back the plastic weather shield from the body side door.
3.
Open the yellow lock clip and remove the rear body side door latch actuating rod from the yellow lock clip located in the center of the body side
door (Figure 1).
