Resonator Shield
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the downstream Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
3. Support the exhaust system.
4. Remove the two muffler pipe bracket-to-exhaust hanger insulator bolts and the four washers.
5. Position the ground strap aside.
6. Remove the five muffler/resonator assembly exhaust hanger insulator bolts.
7. Lower and support the exhaust system.
8. Remove the four resonator shield nuts and the resonator shield.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Tighten the resonator shield nuts to 5-7 Nm (43-61 lb-in).

Tighten the muffler pipe bracket-to-exhaust hanger insulator bolts to 13-16 Nm (9-12 lb-ft).

Tighten the five muffler/resonator assembly exhaust hanger insulator bolts to 13-16 Nm (9-12 lb-ft).
