Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

WARNING: Fuel in the fuel system remains under high pressure even when the engine is not running.

1. Perform fuel pressure release procedure.  
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

3. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator-to-intake manifold vacuum hose. 

4. Disconnect and plug the fuel tube hose.

NOTE:  Plug the fuel lines after removing them from the fuel pressure regulator to prevent fuel leakage. 

5. Remove the two fuel pressure regulator screws and the fuel pressure regulator.
6. Remove the O-ring from the fuel pressure regulator. Discard the O-ring.
