Fuel Pressure: Vehicle Damage Warnings

 
DO NOT

Operate the fuel pump without fuel.

-

Depress the accelerator pedal on fuel injected models while trying to start the car.

Use engine oil, gear lubricant or brake fluid to lubricate fuel system connections and O-rings.

DO

-

Handle all fuel injection related parts with care as they may easily be damaged.

-

Use new gaskets or O-rings when installing fuel lines or injectors.

-

Lightly lubricate O-rings and flare connections with silicone spray. 

-

Check for leaks after servicing fuel system, and correct as needed.
