Throttle Full Close Switch: Service and Repair

NOTE:

The IDL switch is integrated in the throttle position sensor assembly.

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the TP sensor electrical connector from the EGRC bracket.
4. Disconnect the idle switch electrical connector.
5. Remove the TP sensor screws, and then the TP sensor.

INSTALLATION 

1. Position the TP sensor on the throttle body and loosely install the TP sensor screws.
2. Adjust the TP sensor.
3. Tighten the TP sensor screws to 2.0-2.4 Nm (17-21 in lb).
4. Connect the idle switch electrical connector. 
5. Install the TP sensor electrical connector on the EGRC bracket.
6. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
