Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the ignition coil cover.

3. Disconnect the ignition coil to distributor high tension wiring from the ignition coil.
4. Disconnect the ignition coil electrical connector.

5. Remove the two ignition coil-to-A/C compressor mounting bracket bolts.
6. Remove the ignition coil.

INSTALLATION 

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Tighten the ignition coil-to-A/C compressor mounting bracket bolts to 8 Nm (71 in lb)
