On 1996 model year vehicles only, if all circuits/actuators are OK, replace the SEC timer module.
VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH ANTI-THEFT
Perform all the above steps, then proceed to Key Cylinder Lock/Unlock Signal Check.
Driver, Passenger Door & Liftgate Switch Lock Sig. Check
1.
Remove the SEC Timer module connector C2031.
2.
Check for continuity between the SEC module Pin 9 (BK) and Pin 14 (RED) while turning the individual door key lock cylinders with the key.
Refer to Figure 6. If no continuity is found, replace the suspect door key cylinder.
Driver, Passenger Door & Liftgate Switch Unlock Sig. Check
1.
Remove the SEC timer module connector C2031.
2.
Check for continuity between the SEC module Pin 9 (BK) and Pin 15 (R/BK) while turning the individual door key lock cylinders with the key.
Refer to Figure 7. If no continuity is found, replace the suspect door key cylinder.
Sliding Door Lock Input Check
1.
Remove the sliding door trim panel. Refer to the appropriate Villager Service Manual, Page 01-05-9, for removal instructions.
