Air Conditioning Switch: Description and Operation
NOTE: The A/C clutch will not engage in ambient temperatures below 9°C (48°F).
When the A/C button is turned to the ON position, the A/C clutch is energized. Energization of the A/C clutch engages the driveshaft of the A/C
compressor, allowing refrigerant to be pumped through the A/C system.
In the DEFROST mode, the A/C compressor may automatically engage to aid in defogging. This automatic operation cannot be overridden by turning
the A/C button OFF.
