Villager V6-181 3.0L SOHC VIN 1 EFI (1997)
The following procedure applies to vehicles in which the ignition switch lock cylinder is inoperative and cannot be turned due to a lost or broken ignition
key where the key number is unknown, or in which there is a damaged ignition switch lock cylinder.
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
3. Remove the upper and lower steering column shrouds.
4. Remove the ignition lock bolts by chiseling out.
5. Remove the lock housing.
6. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the ignition switch lock cylinder with the key in the ON position in the lock housing.
2. Align the upper and lower lock housing to accept the ignition lock bolts.
3. Tighten the ignition lock bolts down until the heads break off.
