Villager V6-181 3.0L SOHC VIN 1 EFI (1997)
1. Remove the power steering pump.
2. Remove the power steering pressure hose connection bolt, the power steering pressure hose connection and the two power steering pressure hose
connection washers.
3. Remove the power steering pump valve and power steering pump flow control valve spring.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Power Steering Pump Valve Outlet Fitting
REMOVAL
Remove the O-ring seal from the power steering pressure hose fitting and the power steering return hose fitting.
INSTALLATION
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Priming
When replacing or removing the power steering pump, perform one of the two following procedures. If no jack or hoist is available to raise the front
wheels, use Procedure No. 1. If the front wheels can be safely raised off the ground, use Procedure No. 2.
PROCEDURE NO. 1
NOTE: The replacement power steering pump must be primed with the specified power steering fluid prior to installation in the vehicle.
1. Remove the fitting from the pressure port and pour power steering fluid into the pressure port with the port facing up to maximize the amount of
fluid added to the power steering pump.
2. Slowly turn the pump driveshaft and continue to add fluid.
3. Install the power steering pump in the vehicle in a way that does not let the fluid spill out of the power steering pump.
4. Attach the power steering pressure hose and power steering return hose to the power steering pump and power steering oil reservoir.
5. Start the engine and allow it to run for several minutes.
6. Turn the steering wheel fully left and right, from stop to stop several times.
