REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the three steering column shroud screws. Remove the lower steering column shroud.

3. Remove the upper steering column shroud.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

5. Place a 3 mm (1/8 inch) diameter wire pin or small drift punch in the access hole in the lock housing under the ignition switch lock cylinder.

Depress the retaining pin while pulling on the ignition switch lock cylinder.

NOTE: When removing the Ignition switch lock cylinder a small tension spring will pop out from beneath the cylinder rod.

6. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Turn the ignition switch lock cylinder to the ON position and depress the retaining pin.

NOTE: Before installing the Ignition switch lock cylinder, ensure proper placement of the tension spring beneath the lock cylinder rod.

2. Insert the ignition switch lock cylinder into the lock housing until fully seated.

NOTE: The ignition switch lock cylinder is fully seated in the lock housing when the retaining pin snaps into the access hole.

3. Install the upper steering column shroud.
4. Install the lower steering column shroud. Install the two steering column shroud screws.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
