Villager V6-181 3.0L SOHC VIN 1 EFI (1997)
INSTALLATION
1. Screw the tie rod end onto the front wheel spindle tie rod in a clockwise direction.
2. Align the alignment mark on the tie rod end, tie rod end jam nut, and the front wheel spindle tie rod. Tighten the tie rod end jam nut to 78-98 Nm
(58-72 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the tie rod end in the front wheel spindle.
4. Install the tie rod end nut. Tighten the tie rod end nut to 29-39 Nm (22-29 ft. lbs.).
NOTE: If the slots in the tie rod end nut do not align with the hole in the tie rod end stud, tighten the tie rod end nut for proper alignment. Never
loosen the tie rod end nut.
5. Install a new cotter pin.
6. Install the front wheel and tire assembly. Tighten the lug nuts to 98-118 Nm (72-87 ft. lbs.).
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Check front toe and, if necessary, adjust the tie rod end.
