Shift Solenoid: Description and Operation
SHIFT SOLENOID ASSEMBLY
The Shift Solenoid (SS) assembly is located on the main control valve body.
The SS assembly includes the following:

Shift solenoid A.

Shift solenoid B.
-
Coasting clutch solenoid.

Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid.
The SS assembly is hard-wired into the main control valve body wiring along with the line pressure solenoid and the Transmission Fluid Temperature
(TFT) sensor. All these parts must be replaced as an assembly.
